Easy Stuffing Recipe

Hey y’all! I pretty much failed at posting everyday, but I have a recipe post for today! Over Thanksgiving I made homemade stuffing from a family friend’s recipe and it was SO good. I think I might be making it for christmas too, if my mom will let me lol. Anyways I wanted to share this recipe with you all today!

This fed about 10 people and we had plenty of left overs!

Ingredients:

1 stick of butter

1 c. celery

1 c. onion

1-2 loaves of stale french bread cubed

sage

poultry seasoning

16 oz. chicken broth

Directions:

  1. Dice celery and onion and sauté with in butter. Let it sit over night and heat back up the next morning.
  2. Preheat oven to 350
  3. Mix bread with celery and onion mixture and cover with sage and poultry seasoning (The more the better)!
  4. Pour chicken broth on top of bread mixture making sure everything is evenly moist.
  5. Bake in oven for 25 minutes.

Top Favorite Holiday Recipes

Hey y’all! welcome to Blogmas day 6. Today’s post is going to be all about my top favorite holiday recipes and food.

  • Gingerbread cookies. I love decorating (and eating) these cookies. This recipe is my favorite because the cookies are soft!
  • Ham and stuffing. 2 essential Christmas dinner items. I will actually have a recipe on homemade stuffing going up another day this December for blogmas so look out for that!
  • Mint Oreo Truffles these are always the best!
  • Sausage balls. These are a new thing for me. Last year was the first time I had made them, but let me tell you these are sooo good. A post will also be coming about these as well.
  • White chocolate Chex Mix. Chex mix covered in white chocolate…who doesn’t love that.

Easy Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

Hey y’all! Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day, especially biscuits. Since I am trying to loose weight and watch my carbs and sugar I had to come up with an alternative. In this recipe I use whole wheat flour and zing ( a stevia and cane sugar blend ). These actually taste pretty dang close to regular biscuits so I was pleasantly surprised and thought I would share it with you guys.

Easy Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits:

Servings: Makes 6 biscuits

Time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. of cream of tarter
  • 1/2 tsp. of Zing
  • 1/4 tsp. of salt
  • 4 tbs. unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup of skim or almond milk

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450
  2. Mix all of the ingredients together and mix
  3. Drop onto a greased baking sheet
  4. Let them bake for 8-10 minutes

French Toast Egg Puff: Recipe Here

This egg french toast is a great breakfast option, especially if you are craving something on the sweeter side, but only have like 3 minutes to make it. Plus it is only compromised of 3 ingredients: eggs, cream cheese, and maple syrup. This is one of my go 2’s in the morning.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie: Recipe Here

I love chocolate chip cookies and pie so of course I was freaking out when I stumbled upon this recipe and just had to try it. Let me tell you, it tastes as good as it looks. Graham cracker crust, chocolate chip cookies dipped in milk, and whipped cream. What other type of dessert is better than that?
